iistas of sapphire blue lakes between vibrant, vineyard-covered hillsides, quiet roads with smooth, wide shoulders, and village stores selling homemade grape pies. This is New York’s Finger Lakes region. Glacial advances in the Ice Age carved the 11 parallel lakes out of sedimentary rock. Folklore says a giant bear walked among the forests to create the fresh-water fjords. Peruse our valleys, partake of our festivals, pause to refresh yourselves in our parks, and please, return again and again. We will make you feel like home.

he Cohocton Valley is located at exit 2 of Rt 390 . The town of Cohocton was elected by the legislature from Bath and Dansville on June 18, 1812 Known for its Annual Fall Foliage Festival in October, potato region, and the Conhocton River, which is famous for trout fishing,  and its connections with the Underground Railroad Route to Canada. It was home to the world's largest buckwheat mill: the Larrowe Mills. during its prime years it boasted two railroads, an opera house, several taverns and hotels, and at least eight grocery stores.

e are only minutes south of Naples, NY an historic and romantic village founded in 1789 which has always remained a charming and prosperous community. John Jacob Widmer, founder of Widmer's Wine Cellars, came to Naples from Switzerland in 1882 at the invitation of his brother who had preceded him to this fertile valley in New York State's famed Finger Lakes Region. John Jacob Widmer founded the Widmer Wine business in 1888. Today Widmer Wines are a part of the world reknowned Constellation Group. You will find it is one of the highlights when you visit the Finger Lakes.
