Letchworth State Park is located in the
Southern Tier, about 45 miles south of
Rochester. From the Villa Serendip it is
about a 45 minute ride to a spot that
you will definitely want to visit no matter
what the season. Guided white-water rafting trips of varying difficulty, lasting a single day or even less, are available on the Genesee River at Lethworth State Park. The most challenging white water is in the spring, although some companies offer rides throughout the summer and fall. In the western Finger Lakes Region of New York excellent rafting is done on the Genesee River in Letchworth State Park. Genesee River White Water Rafting(45 minutes away) GENESEE RIVER AT PORTAGEVILLE NY Class II white water rafting trip through the gorge. Whitewater: The Genesee River is a Class II-III whitewater river. Registration is available for canoeists and kayakers. Participants must be experienced whitewater paddlers, and able swimmers. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Whitewater rafting and guided canoe trips that originate from the Lee's Landing area and travel about six miles over two hours.
