We Welcome You
to Step Back in Time to the Victorian Era

As
if I had walked through the looking glass into a bygone age, I found
myself confronted with wonderfully large rooms with extremely high
ceilings and nine foot high doors that were faux painted to resemble
fine hardwoods...
Charlotte Bronte' |
this
romantic bed and breakfast combines Victorian elegance and charm
with a warm and friendly atmosphere that is intended to make "you
" feel special. There is no stuffiness, no reserved or
pretentious attitudes, no "Please don't touch that is an
antique", but instead a sincere "do make yourselves to home"
ambiance . I love what I do and I love each and every guest that
passes through the portals of this awesome house. It is not a
showcase, it is home and I would love to share it
with each and everyone of you. What I do, I do because I love to
do it. That is my job description. It is the showcase of
my heart and hopefully it is reflected throughout the entire
b&b. Each spacious
room is a unique experience in
pampered luxury. Carefully chosen Victorian themes bring
together authentic period antiques, family heirlooms, and
exacting reproductions to create the mood of long-ago charm and
romance and to make you fall in love while you are here. After
all I do want you to come back again and soon.
Please feel free to make yourself at home

Welcome
"You" to the Woodworth House!
he former Woodworth
Homestead, built in 1860 is believed to have been a stop on the
Underground Railroad during the Civil War. It was sold in 1960 and soon
fell into utter disrepair. After only a few years the house became
unoccupied and remained vacant for fifteen years until
1998,
when we lovingly restored the home, transforming it one of the most romantic
Finger Lakes bed and breakfasts; the
Villa Serendip Bed & Breakfast.

e have been fortunate to acquire the
genealogy The First Six Generations of the Woodworth Family in America
from the descendants of Calvin Van Kirk Woodworth; brother of Samuel Fitch
Woodworth, the original owner of this unique Victorian mansion. We love to
help our guests with genealogical research. The Woodworth Website has
wonderful information about the family. Please visit the
Woodworth History web site
