About the FingerLakes

Vistas of sapphire blue lakes between vibrant, vineyard-covered hillsides, quiet roads with smooth, wide shoulders, and village stores selling homemade grape pies. This is New York’s Finger Lakes region. Glacial advances in the Ice Age carved the 11 parallel lakes out of sedimentary rock. Folklore says a giant bear walked among the forests to create the fresh-water fjords. Peruse our valleys, partake of our festivals, pause to refresh yourselves in our parks, and please, return again and again. We promise we will make you feel like home.

Canandaiga Lake, Keuka Lake, Seneca Lake, Conesus Lake and Honeyoye Lake are easily accessible as is Letchworth State Park and Stony Brook .

Ambroselli's Villa Serendip Bed and Breakfast Inn is located fifteen minutes south of Canandaigua Lake and less than a half hour from Keuka Lake's charming Village of Hammondsport. You will find quaint gift shops, antique stores, old-fashioned ice cream parlors and public boat launching facilities. There are numerous marinas, upscale restaurants, and water sports for your entertainment. In the summer, sailboats, power boats, water skiers and jet skiers abound. In the winter, cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling are highlights. Nearby is Bristol Mountain Ski Resort and Hunt Hollow offering Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing and Snowboarding. Finger Lakes Trail:

The main Finger Lakes Trail is 562 miles long and connects the Catskill Mountains with the Allegheny Mountains by passing through remote areas of the Southern Tier of New York State.
The main Finger Lakes Trail connects with the North Country National Scenic Trail in Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. The Conservation Trail, a major branch trail, connects with the Bruce Trail in Canada. Altogether, the main trail and its branch and loop trails total over 850 miles. Many sections of the Finger Lakes Trail are official segments of the North Country National Scenic Trail. This 4,600-mile-long foot trail is being built across seven states between Lake Champlain in New York and Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota.
